ANDALUSIA, ALA. – What could you do with $8,000? For local non-profit agencies, that amount translates into funding for multiple projects that benefit Covington County citizens.
PowerSouth’s donation will improve the lives of hundreds in Covington County through the Covington County United Fund, which raises money that enables member agencies to render human care services in the Covington County area. The United Fund supports such organizations as American Red Cross, Scouts, Meals on Wheels, Sav-A-Life Pregnancy Center and public libraries.
“Through the Covington County United Fund, we have the opportunity to give to causes that will build our community and strengthen humanity,” said Gary Smith, PowerSouth President and CEO. “’People Helping People’ is more than a theme for our fund drive. It’s a fundamental key to our personal fulfillment and our sense of community.”
Charitable giving and community service go along with one of PowerSouth’s core values – community development. PowerSouth strives to cultivate the best possible opportunities for communities in and around our service area.
